OVERVIEW
QEP acquired Faus to expand their flooring portfolio, in line with increased demand in the market for laminate flooring options. The inherited branding did not reflect the high end, luxury feel the product was intended to represent. Once the strategy for the brand was clearly outlined, the supporting branding and design was developed.
Designed a logo that would represent sophistication and elegance. Soft, organic lines form an icon, balanced by a strong serif font for ‘FAUS’. A deeper, eggplant purple symbolizes luxury and elegance. Balanced with a dark tan hue, 'FAUS' stands out without overpowering the icon while providing warmth and security.
Developed a full set of guidelines for logo usage, additional elements, fonts, image and style boundaries. Given the desired branding results, stricter guidelines were necessary.
Collaborated with Marketing Manager to determine the style of support materials needed. Special attention was shown to the sample ‘Look Book’, including print effects, binding and cover material. Designed a standard printed brochure, simplified version of the ‘Look Book’ for cost effective options.
